3 MAINTENANCE
3.1 General guidelines
Maintenance should be performed to ensure reliable operation and constant
availability of CCS-IP2.
The maintenance entities are:
−
CCS-IP2;
−
the condition and connection of cables connected to the product.
Maintenance shall be performed by personnel in charge of maintaining the CCS-IP2.
Maintenance shall be performed once a year without switching off power.
3.2 Safety precautions
During maintenance, observe safety precautions according to “Occupational safety
rules when operating electrical installations”.
Also observe safety precautions given in 2.2 during maintenance.
3.3 Maintenance procedure
Maintenance includes the following activities:
–
visual inspection of the CCS-IP2 enclosure for mechanical damage (cracks,
dents, etc.) on the enclosure, cover, keys and buttons;
–
visual inspection of cables connected to CCS-IP2 (they must not be squeezed
and the outer sheath should not be damaged);
–
removal of dust and dirt from the surface of the product. Depending on the
level of dirt, the surface of the CCS-IP2 can be cleaned using a wet sponge
soaked with a mild soap solution, or modern chemicals for cleaning and
protecting equipment at facilities with corrosive gases and chemical vapors;
−
if necessary, remove dust from the terminal blocks and boards using a directed
air stream (contaminants removed by air blowing should not fall onto other
units), when the CCS-IP2 housing cover is removed;
ATTENTION: REMOVAL OF THE HOUSING COVER AND CLEANING WITH
COMPRESSED AIR IS ONLY ALLOWED WHEN THE CCS-IP2 IS
DISCONNECTED!
–
checking reliability of cable connection to CCS-IP2 – cables should not be
tensioned;
–
checking operability of CCS-IP2 according to 3.4.
