5 Operation

Instructions for Use, AquaVENT

FD140, Rev. 12

5.4 Standby

In the standby mode, different device settings can be configured before
starting the therapy.

Fields where adjustments can be carried out are displayed with a border. A
field is activated by touching it.

1: Start

The therapy screen is displayed and patient treatment starts. Please refer to
chapter 5.7 Starting/ending therapy for details.

2: Patient airway pressure field

This field shows the pressure of the chosen PEEP valve. Please refer to
chapter 5.5.1 Changing patient airway pressure during therapy for details.

3: Nebuliser

The nebuliser can be switched on and off. Please refer to chapter 5.8
Activating/deactivating the nebuliser for details.

4: Mode

The mode menu is displayed. Please refer to chapter 5.3 Mode selection for
details.

5: FiO

A new screen for FiO

adjustment (in percent) is displayed. Please refer to

chapter 5.5.3 FiO

for details,

6: Flow

A new screen for adjustment of the flow is displayed. Please refer to chapter
5.5.4 Flow adjustment for details.

All other data on the standby screen are measured values, which are
described in chapter 5.7 Starting/ending therapy.
