Table C–48V temperature compensated battery float voltage
This table is provided as a guideline only. If battery temperature falls between values on the
scale, estimate the voltage setting based on the closest numerical values.
*
Refers to ambient temperature at the battery terminal posts.
**
BFV refers to Battery Float Voltage. Check battery manufacturer’s recommended settings.
***
Refers to Nominal Battery Temperature. This is the optimum temperature for battery operation. No
compensation occurs at this temperature; use as a reference point.
8.3.3
Supervisory Module Adjustments (option)
8.3.3.1 Test
Mode
Depressing the front panel Test switch enters the Test mode. An internal Test power supply is
connected inside the supervisory module, which enables the user to make alarm adjustments
while in the Test mode. This power supply is controlled by the Test potentiometer located above
the test switch. When the switch is activated, the Test LED illuminates. If the internal test supply
is not on or has a low voltage, the Low Voltage Alarm and Low Voltage Disconnect may
activate. The OVP LED may also illuminate if the test supply voltage is higher than the system’s
setting.
NOTE:
The OVP and HVA settings can be tested with Temperature Compensation enabled or disabled, however,
settings are normally checked with the Temperature Compensation disabled. To test temperature compensated
OVP and HVA settings, turn the Temperature Compensation switch “On.” Entering the Test mode and adjusting
the Test voltage to initialize alarms/controls at the factory settings can test operation of all voltage sensitive
alarms and controls.
