5 Module Insertion/Removal
WARNING
Only qualified personnel familiar with AC and battery voltage should attempt to change modules
while the rectifier shelf is energized. Remove rings, watches and other jewelry before performing
this procedure. Keep fingers clear of live electric parts while unit is energized.
HIGH VOLTAGE AND SHOCK HAZARD.
Do not force a module into position if it does not seat properly! All units are keyed to ensure that
the correct module is used.
5.1 Removal
To remove modules/panels, loosen the two screws on the bottom and top of the faceplate. The screws are a
captive type – do not remove completely. Grasp module handle and pull out.
5.2 Installation
To (re) insert module, slide into the board guides – ensure module chassis is properly engaged in slides – and
apply pressure on the handles to engage the rear connector in the shelf receptacle. Re-tighten the faceplate
screws.
