!! CAUTION !!

You  should  change  the  engine  and  transmission  oil  of  your  ATV  every  2000km.    Please
respect in this regard the maintenance schedule in your service booklet.

Filling Gas Tank

!! ATTENTION !!

Always fill the gas tank in a well-ventilated area. Never add gasoline to the ATV gas tank
near any open flames or with the engine running or hot. DO NOT SMOKE while filling the gas
tank.

Since gasoline expands as its temperature increases,
the  gas  tank  must  be  filled  to  its  rated  capacity  only.
Allow  the  engine  to  cool  before  filling  the  gas  tank.
Care  must  be  taken  not  to  overfill  the  tank.  If
overfilled, gas may leak onto the engine creating a fire
hazard.

Tighten the gas tank cap securely after filing the tank.

!! ATTENTION !!

Do not overfill the gas tank.

BREAK-IN PROCEDURE

New ATV’s and renewed ATV engines require a „break-in“ period. The first month is most
critical to the life of this ATV. Proper operation during this break-in period will help assure
maximum life and performance from the ATV.

During the first 10 hours of operation, always use less than ½ throttle. Varying the engine
RPM  during  the  break-in  period  aids  the  engine/transmission  component  mating
process. Although it is essential to place some stress on the engine components during
break-in, care should be taken not to overload the engine too often. Do not pull a trailer
during the break-in period.

When  the  engine  starts,  allow  it  to  warm  up  properly.  Idle  the  engine  several  minutes
until  the  engine  has  reached  normal  operating  temperature.  Do  not idle the engine for
excessively long periods of time.

During the break-in period, you should not use more than ½ throttle. Short acceleration
maneuvers and riding at different velocities provide an optimum break-in of the engine.

During the break-in period you must also burnish brake pads (hydraulic brake) to achieve
full braking effectiveness. To properly burnish the brakes, use the following procedure:

1.

Choose an area sufficiently large to safely accelerate ATV to 30 km/h.

2.  Accelerate to 30 km/h. then compress foot brake to decelerate to 0-5 km/h.
3.  Repeat procedure 20 times until brakes are burnished.

After  having finished this procedure, follow the same steps to burnish the hand brake.
Doing so, stabilizes the material and prolongs life of brake pads.

!! ATTENTION !!

Don’t make sudden braking maneuvers, unless brake pads aren’t burnished.

After  the  completion  of  the  break-in  period,  the  engine  oil  and  oil  filter  should  be
changed.  Other  maintenance  after  break-in  should  include  checking  of  all  prescribed
adjustments  and  tightening  of  all  fasteners.  Your  ACE  ATV  dealer  will  be  pleased  to  do
this initial service.
