10.12 Thermal
It is a component that opens the circuit when heated. It opens the circuit at a certain
temperature and cuts the current to the compressor in order to protect the compressor coils against
excessive heating. When the temperature of the compressor drops below a certain value, it re-
completes the circuit to operate the compressor.
10.13 PTC relay
Its resistance increases as the temperature rises. It ensures primary startup of the compressor
by activating the compressor's auxiliary coil, then it deactivates the auxiliary coil by being heated
with the current flowing over it.
10.14 Ionizer
It is used to sterilize the air inside the Freezer compartment. It does not operate during
defrost time.
It is controlled from the control board by algorithm.
10.15 Reed Sensor
Reed sensor informing whether FF door is closed or open is located inside the hand plate
plastic. It sends door open/closed information to the control card. When the door is opened, it is an
open circuit, and when the door is closed it is short circuit.
10.16 FF Illumination
A LED is used for illumination of Fridge compartment. LED illumination is activated by the
control card when the fridge compartment door is opened.
Ionizer
