Battery pack
(The battery pack of the product is a lithium-ion battery.)
The battery pack is not fully charged at the time of purchase. Charge
the battery before using the product. Also charge the battery after
long periods of disuse before using the product.
●
Use in very hot or cold environments, for example, when left in an
automobile with the windows closed in summer, will cause the
battery capacity to drop and shorten the available battery usage
time. This will also shorten the battery pack’s service life. Try to use
the battery pack as much as possible at room temperature.
●
When the battery pack is not to be used for a long time, remove the
battery pack from the main unit, and store it away from hot and
humid places.
●
The battery pack is a consumable item. If the performance of a
battery pack does not recover (e.g. the usable time after each
charge has become extremely short), the battery pack is at the end
of service life, so stop use and buy a new one of the specified type.
Note that the length of service life varies depending on the usage
condition, etc.
●
Battery packs sometimes swell up as they approach the end of
their service life depending on the usage condition.
This is due to the properties of lithium-ion batteries, and is not a
problem in terms of safety.
●
Do not use a damaged or leaking battery pack. Doing so might
cause a malfunction.
●
Be careful not to pinch your fingers when opening/closing the
product.
●
If you put magnetized objects, metal straps, etc. close to the
product, the speaker section sometimes emits sounds. This is not a
fault.
●
Bright places such as under the direct sunlight sometimes make it
hard to see the display. This is not a fault.
●
Do not use with the back cover removed. Do not leave or store in
that manner. Doing so may allow dust or other foreign matter to
enter and cause a fault.
●
Do not allow liquids, metal objects, and other foreign matter to get
inside the au Nano IC Card 04 tray slot or microSD memory card
slot of the product. Doing so might cause a fault.
●
Do not subject to strong impact to the product such as dropping,
throwing or stepping it. Doing so might cause a fault.
●
Do not put the product directly on sand at a beach, etc. Sand or
other small particles might get inside the earpiece, mouthpiece,
speaker or earphone/microphone jack causing the volume to drop.
If sand gets inside the product, it might cause overheating or a
fault.

OLED Display
●
The product uses an OEL display in its sub-display. While OEL
displays may experience lowered partial brightness if same images
are displayed for a long time or if used for an extremely long time,
this is due to the characteristics of the OEL display and is not a
malfunction.
●
OEL displays are manufactured with high-precision technology,
and may experience very limited instances of pixels not lighting or
being always on.
Brightness may also appear unevenly in bands depending on the
angle. This is due the structure of the OEL display, and is not a
malfunction.
●
Leaving an OEL display under direct sunlight might cause
malfunction. Use caution when placing near a window or outdoors.
