INDICATING / RECORDING SYSTEMS - GENERAL

A. This chapter contains a survey of those units or components used to indicate various parameters
of the engine, airframe or related flight operations. It also includes schematic diagrams to show
the location of all instruments and controls.

A. The Instrument panel of the AQUILA AT01 is for VFR use. In addition, it fulfills the requirements
for flights in CVFR areas. For an easy and quick reference, the instruments and controls are clearly
divided in groups.
The group of six flight instruments is directly in front of the pilot. To the right side of them the
power gauges; the tachometer and the manifold pressure indicator are mounted. Below the flight
instruments is a row of switches. The middle section of the panel contains the avionics
equipment. The Bendix/King NAV/COM transceiver is arranged over the transponder. A group of
instruments for verifying operating conditions of the engine and systems is on the right side of the
avionics column located. These gauges indicate the fuel level in each tank, cylinder head
temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, as well as amperes and volts of the electrical system. In
front of the second pilot is the circuit breaker panel.
B. A center console contains the control knobs for the operation of the carburetor heat, the choke, the
cabin heating, the throttle and RPM control levers, the fuel selector / shut-off valve, the parking
brake control knob, and the trim control switch.
C. The description, function and maintenance of several specific instruments are contained in
appropriate sections of this manual.
D. For an overview of the position of the various instruments, devices and controls on the instrument
panel and center pedestal, refer to fig 01.
