Checking Hard Disk
Space Usage
1 Press the DVR LIST key.
Passport Echo displays the Saved
Shows panel.
2 Press the A key.
Passport Echo displays the Saved
Shows Options pop-up menu.
3 Press the up or down arrow to
highlight the
View Disk Info menu
option, then press SELECT.
Passport Echo displays the Saved
Shows Information panel, which
displays values that represent a
percentage of total hard disk
space.
•
Saved until manually erased
(red):
Total duration (%) of all programs
that have been saved to the hard
disk that will remain until you
manually erase them.
• Automatically erased as needed
(yellow): Total duration (%) of all
programs that have been saved to
the hard disk that may be
automatically erased by Passport
Echo.
•
Estimated free space
(green): Total
amount (%) of hard disk space
currently available for recording.
Clearing Space on the
Hard Disk
If your hard disk fills up with locked
programming and you try to record
another program, Passport Echo will
display the following dialog box
indicating that you must clear space on
the hard disk before you can record
additional programs.
• Press C to continue.
The program will be scheduled for
recording. Recording will start
immediately after you clear
sufficient space from the hard
disk.
You can erase programs from the
hard disk by following the steps
described in the section “Erasing a
Saved Program” on page 61.
