Turning Off Parental
Control Until You Manually
Turn It Back On
To turn off Parental Control so that it
does not turn on automatically when
the set-top box is turned off and then
on (and remains off until you re-
activate it manually) follow the
procedure below.
1 Press the SETTINGS key, then
press the A key.
Passport Echo displays the
General Settings menu.
2 Press the up or down arrow to
highlight the Parental Control
category. If the category is not
expanded, press SELECT to
expand the Parental Control
category.
Passport Echo highlights the
Parental Control/Locking Status
preference and displays its current
status.
3 Press the right arrow or SELECT
to move to the Status column.
4 Press the up or down arrow to
highlight
Off (Relock Manually) .
5 Press the SELECT key.
Passport Echo requests your PIN.
6 Key in the four digits of your
Parental Control PIN.
Passport Echo displays a
confirmation message.
7 Press the A key.
Parental Control is now turned off
and all channels, ratings, content,
and times are unlocked.
When you turn the set-top box off
and back on, Parental Control will
remain turned off until you turn
Parental Control back on.
8 To exit the General Settings
menu, press the EXIT key.
