Passport Echo Viewer’s Guide

Notch Skip

The Notch Skip feature lets you skip
forward or backward quickly. In any
Fast Forward mode, press the right
arrow to skip the playback head
forward to the next time increment tick
mark. In any Rewind mode, press the
left arrow to skip the playback head
backward to the previous tick mark.

30-Second Skip Ahead
Feature

Passport Echo features a 30-second
skip ahead function that enables you to
skip ahead in increments of 30
seconds. This feature can be
conﬁgured by your cable company as
follows:

•

If the 30-second skip function is
turned

on

(enabled), pressing the

PLAY key twice quickly causes
playback to skip ahead 30
seconds.

•

If the 30-second skip function is
turned

off

(disabled), pressing the

PLAY key twice quickly initiates
slow-motion playback

Slow Motion Playback

If the setting for the 30-second skip
function is enabled by your cable
company, slow motion playback is
initiated as follows:

•

Pressing PAUSE and FFWD keys
in rapid succession initiates slow-
motion playback

•

Pressing PAUSE and RWD keys
in rapid succession initiates slow-
motion reverse playback

Frame-by-Frame
Advance and Rewind
