REMOVING THE FAIRING UPPER
FRONT COVERS

Release and remove the two screws
(1).
X+
Release and remove the retaining
screw (2).
X+
Pull the side fairing apart gently to
release the cover.
CAUTION
Handle plastic and paint-finished parts
w i t h c a r e t o a v o i d s c r a t c h i n g o r
damage.
NOTE
On refitting, route the hoses (3)
and (4) through the hole (5) in the left
fairing.
REMOVING
THE REARVIEW MIRRORS

Disconnect the direction indicator
cables.
X
Release and remove the two nuts (3)
and collect the washers (4).
X
Ease off the rearview mirror (5) paying
attention to the electrical connector.
CAUTION
H a n d l e t h e p l a s t i c a n d p a i n t e d
c o m p o n e n t s w i t h c a r e a n d a v o i d
scraping or damaging them.

Remove the rearview mirror (5).
X
If it has fallen from its seat, retrieve the
cup (6).
NOTE
Repeat these operations to
remove the other rearview mirror.
WARNING
After reassembly, correctly adjust the
rearview mirrors and tighten the nuts in
such a way that the mirrors are secure.
Failure to heed this warning can prevent
you from seeing danger approaching
from behind and lead to a serious
accident.
After reassembly:
X Correctly adjust the reflecting surface of
the rearview mirrors.
