Chapter 18. Troubleshooting
If you experience a problem, please check the following chart for help.
Problem Causes

Power will not turn on Power will not turn on if the battery is fully
discharged. Recharge the battery and turn on the
player again.

Power automatically turns off
z
The power is automatically turned off when the
battery is fully discharged. Recharge the battery.
z
The power saving function is activated.
z
The screen will not turn on
z
The screen may not be visible under direct
sunlight.
z
Check if you have selected the “Power Save”
setting.
z
Playback is disabled
z
Check if the desired file has been saved in the
memory.
z
Check if the music file is correct or the format is
supported.
z
Check if there is enough power for playback.
z
No music display or no sound
z
Check if the volume level is 0.
z
Check if the earphones are connected well and
keep the earphones clean.
z
Corrupted music files may result in unplayability,
please confirm the integrity of the files. Re-format
the disk.

Connection to PC is disabled
z
Plug the USB cable well after the power is turned
off, or plug in the player again via USB cable.

Actual memory capacity is
different from what is listed
on package
Small discrepancies are due to different file formats
and algorithms used by various operating systems.

Abnormal wording or file
name display
Make sure that you have selected the correct
language.

The product is hot Heat may be generated during battery charging.
There is no effect on product life or functions.

Download failure to the
internal memory.

Ensure your operating system has recognized the
player as a Removable Disk.

Ensure your computer meets the minimum
system requirements for operating the player.

Check the connection between the player and the
computer.

Reformat the internal memory with the player’s
utility and download again.
