Formatting the Player
For Windows users:
1. Connect the MP4 player to the computer via a USB cable.
2. Format the MP4 player (Removable Disk) by using the Windows format tool.
3. You can format the internal storage of the player via your computer with the
file systems FAT or FAT32.
For Macintosh users:
1. Connect the MP4 player to the computer via a USB cable.
2. Double click the DATA disk.
3. Open the Application folder.
4. Find the Utilities folder and open it.
5. Find Disk Utility and open it. The Disk Utility window pops up.
6. Select SigmaTel and click the Erase tab.
7. In the Volume Format box, select MS-DOS File System.
8. Click the Erase button and a confirmation window pops up. Click the Erase
button.

Disconnecting the Player
For Windows users:
After completing file transmission, do the following steps to disconnect the MP4
player from your computer. (If you arbitrarily unplug the USB cable, the file
transmission might fail and data might lose.)
MSC Mode:
1. On the Windows ME/2000/XP OS
(with Windows Media Player 9
installed), double click the green
arrow on the system tray on the
bottom right corner of the Windows
screen.
2. After selecting the USB device, click
the Stop button.
3. When you see the [Safely Remove
Hardware] window, click OK and then
unplug the USB cable.
Note: DO NOT select NTFS! Otherwise the player would not be able to work!
