10-5 NB (NOISE BLANKER)
Noise blanker function is effective for pulse noise on the receive signal.
To activate the function, perform the following steps:
1. Press the [
FUNC
] key, and then press the [
0
] key.
2. Press the [
DOWN
] key four times to select “NB” in reverse contrast.
3. Rotate the sub dial to select on/off.
4. Press the [
MHz
] key to accept the entry and return to a standard display.
Alternatively, press the [
CLR
] key to abort entry, or press the [
DOWN
] key to move to the next item
on the configuration menu.
10-6 SCR (ANALOG VOICE DESCRAMBLER)

Analog voice descrambler is used to decode scrambled analog voice transmission by frequency inversion.
Note: This function operates only in the NFM mode.
To activate the function, perform the following steps:
1. Press the [
FUNC
] key, and then press the [
0
] key.
2. Press the [
DOWN
] key five times to select “SCR” in reverse contrast.
3. Rotate the sub dial to select the inversion frequency from the range of 2000 Hz ~ 7000 Hz in 10 Hz step.
Once properly selected, the decoded voice becomes intelligible.
4. Press the [
MHz
] key to accept the entry and return to a standard display.
To disable this function, press the [PASS] key.
10-7 IF-SFT (IF SHIFT)
IF shift is effective to reject any adjacent signal frequencies that cause interference to the receive
frequency. The IF shift operates to shift the IF filter passband to keep away from the interfering signal
without changing the receive frequency.
Note: This function operates only in the AM, SSB, AIQ modes.
To activate the function, perform the following steps:
