User’s Guide

Hit “Del” Message Display

This option lets you enable or disable the Hit <Del> if you want Setup

message from appearing when the system boots. The default setting

Enabled

Extended BIOS RAM Area

This function allows you to relocate the BIOS from ROM to RAM.

Relocating to RAM enhances system performance as information

access is faster than ROM. The parameter settings are 0:300 and

DOS 1K. The default address is

0:300

Wait for F1 If Any Error

If this option is enabled, the BIOS waits for the end user to press

before continuing. If this option is disabled, the BIOS continues the

boot process without waiting for

to be pressed. The default setting

System Boot-up Num Lock

Setting this parameter to

enables the numeric function of the

numeric keypad. Set this parameter to

Off

to disregard the function.

Disabling the numeric function allows you to use the numeric keypad

for cursor control. The default setting is

Floppy Drive Seek at Boot

When enabled, the BIOS detects whether there is a floppy disk drive

installed. Disable the parameter to bypass the function. The default

setting is

Disabled.
