Checking for refrigerant
Before and during the work the
work area must checked with a
suitable refrigerant detector so
that a flammable atmosphere
is detected immediately. Check
that the refrigerant detector
used is suitable for flammable
refrigerant – non-sparking,
adequately sealed and
intrinsically safe.
Fire extinguisher
Suitable fire extinguishing
equipment (powder or CO2
extinguisher) must be available
if hot work is carried out on the
cooling system or parts of it.
No sources of heat
Under no circumstances must
