Measuring High Input Power Levels

Step 3.

Insert an attenuator between the DUT and the RF de-
tector, sufficient to insure that the input power to the
Site Master is no greater than 20 dBm.

Step 4.

Press the OFFSET soft key.

Step 5.

Enter the attenuation in dB using the keypad. Press

ENTER

to complete the entry. The message area will

show OFFSET is ON along with the entered value in
dB.

Displaying Power in dBm and Watts

Step 6.

Press the UNITS soft key to display power in Watts.

Displaying Relative Power

Step 7.

With the desired base power level input to the Site
Master, press the REL soft key. The message area
will show REL: ON and the power reading will indi-
cate 100%.

Step 8.

Press the UNITS soft key to display power in dBm.
Since REL is ON, the power reading will be in dBr,
relative to the base power level.
