5.2 - Recommended use of your Angell Bike
Maintenance recommendations:
• Check that the battery and all loose parts are securely fastened to the bike before riding;
• Make sure that the battery is charged and in good condition before connecting it;
• Make sure that the mechanical components of your bike (chain, brake discs and pads, sprockets) are always clean:
clean them with a dry, soft cloth;
• Check or have the tyre pressure, rims, brakes, handlebar steering, etc. checked regularly for wear and tear;
• Regularly check the condition of your bike’s frame;
• Check that the rims are not bent or crooked.
Recommendations for a responsible use of your Angell bike:
• To ensure your safety, wear a bicycle helmet;
• Make sure that your clothes cannot get caught in the wheels or gears;
• Never place any object on top of the battery, even temporarily;
• Never hang objects or bags from the handlebars. This can affect your balance and prevent you from steering
the bike safely;
• On wet roads and in rainy weather, be sure to maintain an extra braking distance and reduce your speed to
prevent slipping;
• At night or in foggy weather, make sure your lights are working properly and wear reflective tape on your
clothes;
• Make sure that the maximum permissible load of 120 kg (bike, user, battery, any accessories and other user
payload) is not exceeded;
• Be sure to keep up to date with any changes in the legislation in force concerning electric bicycles in your
country;
• If you use your Angell Bike abroad, be sure to consult the regulations and traffic laws in force in your country.
5.3 - Cleaning your Angell Bike
1. Before cleaning, always remove the battery.
2. Use only a damp sponge and mild soap to clean your Angell bicycle.
Never use aggressive products such as acetone or Karcher-type pressure cleaners for cleaning.
This could cause serious damage to your Angell bicycle.
The Angell bike must be stored in a dry place at room temperature and protected from potential adverse weather conditions
(temperature above 10° C and below 35°C) .
5.4 - Storing your Angell Bike
The electrical and mechanical components that make up the Angell bicycle are likely to have a reduced
lifespan when stored in poor conditions.
Systematically, be careful not to touch the brake discs, calipers and gears after intensive use as they can be very hot.
5.5 - Systematic check of the bike and equipment conditions
• Never leave the power engine in direct sunlight for a long period of time.
• Never directly put water or any other liquid on the power engine.
• Do not immerse the power engine.
