Driving the machine
Start the engine and let it run at minimum revs for 10 minutes to get the oils (engine and transmission) at the
correct temperature. This avoids damages to hydrostatic pump and motor sealing and to the engine itself.
Select the correct mechanical gear (I work – II road transfer) using the lever.
Select the correct hydraulic gear (Rabbit – Turtle) using the switch.
Set the diesel revs to the desired level, using the throttle lever.
The transmission ratio between diesel and blower is 1:1.
Remember that by setting the engine revs you are also setting the blower fan revs and the
airflow generated by the blower.
Adjust the airflow suitable for the vegetation, adjusting the engine revs.
Pushing the main joystick forward, the machine moves forward at a speed proportional to the position of the
joystick.
Pulling the main joystick backward the machine moves backward at a speed proportional to the position of
the joystick.
The speed depends also on the throttle position.
Select the desired work speed using the main joystick.
To stop the machine put the main joystick into the neutral position (central position).
Move gently the joystick to avoid rough acceleration/deceleration and damages to the
transmission.
Before moving backward check the area behind the machine to avoid damages due to obstacles
or dangers due to presence of people and children.

Speed ranges
–
ATOM 1000/2000 TO128
You can select the speed range acting on the Hi/low lever and the Rabbit/Turtle switch.
You can select among 4 speed ranges:
Hi/Low Mechanical Gear
Hydraulic Gear
Speed @ 2000 rpm diesel
Hi Torque
Low Speed
0 – 6.5 km/h
0 – 4 mph
Low Torque
Hi Speed
0 – 11.5 km/h
0 – 7 mph
Hi Torque
Low Speed
0 – 20 km/h
0 – 12.4 mph
Low Torque
Hi Speed
0 – 36 km/h
0 – 22.3 mph
I and II gears are selected by the Hi/Low lever. This command controls the gears inside the gear box of back
axle.
Rabbit and Turtle are selected by the switch on the steering coloumn. This command controls the
displacement of the hydraulic motor.
