2.2.9 Print Head Settings - Head Setup Window
In the Head Setup window, you can enter the necessary settings for the print heads. This window
will appear differently based on the model of the machine:
1. Rear Speed icon – set the print carriage speed in the backward direction (towards the
machine’s center column).
2. Front Speed icon – set the print carriage speed in the forward direction (away from the
machine’s center column).
3. Range Limit 1 and Range Limit 2 – this feature is only available on Volt machines with
servo/servo print heads. The Range Limit 1 and Range Limit 2 parameters determine the range
in which the print carriage travels. Both parameters indicate the distance from the zero point
(located at the front of the print head – the far end away from the machine’s center column).
Range Limit 2 refers to the lower limit of the stroke. Range Limit 1 refers to the upper limit. The
print range is the difference between Range Limit 1 and Range Limit 2.
4. No. of strokes – determines the number of print strokes. When printing multiple strokes, it is
possible to print in a fixed position of the table or tear off the screen from the printed material.

5. Step Back – when you press the Step Back footprint icon, it will activate the Step Back function
on that head. In the lower left corner of the associated pallet icon, SB will be displayed. After
printing on the print head, the pallet will move to the position where the flash is located and
after curing it will return to print a second time with the amount of strokes specified in the
Number of SB Strokes.
