AMX TDS (Television Delivery System) 

Transmitter Setup - Network Settings (Cont.)

Network Settings

• Unit Name:

Displays the name currently assigned to the selected Transmitter. 

Note: By default, they are named according to their MAC Addresses, with the 
prefix "Tx -" to indicate Transmitters. 

To change the Unit Name, type the new name here.

• DHCP / Static IP:

Select either DHCP (default setting), or Static IP. 

By default, DTV Transmitters are set to DHCP.

If 

Static IP

 is selected, the following IP address fields are enabled, and 

required:

IP Address: 

Assign a valid IP Address for the Transmitter (Static IP only).

Subnet Mask: 

Assign a valid Subnet Mask for the Transmitter (Static IP 
only).

Gateway:

This display-only field provides the Gateway Address of the 
selected Transmitter.

MAC Address:  This display-only field provides the MAC Address of the 

selected Transmitter.

Note: All DTV Transmitters and Receivers must have an assigned IP Address, 
Network Mask, and Gateway Address in order for the DTV system to work 
correctly. This applies to units that utilize DHCP and to units that have been 
assigned Static IP addresses. If you are using DHCP, verify that these address 
assignments are provided by the DHCP Server.

• Update:

Click to save the Network Settings for the selected Transmitter.

Unit Status

• Current Status:

Indicates that the selected Transmitter is online or offline.

• Send Poll:

Click to send a poll to the selected Transmitter to see if it is online.

• Refresh:

Click to refresh the unit status.

Reset to Default

• Reset unit to factory default: Click to reset the Network Settings for selected Transmitter to DHCP.
