preliminary checks
Checking for damage
Verify that the various parts of the aquarium does not display physical damages due to bumps, tears or
abrasions.
Check in particular:
That there are no signs or dents, indicative of bumps caused by transport.
The integrity of the power supply and of the electrical cables.
Integrity of the glass tank
Damage Reporting Procedure
If any damage is discovered, stop the connection procedure and report the nature of the damage to the
Customer care office of the manufacturer.
Installation area
You should consider several aspects before proceeding with the installation; in particular, it is necessary to verify
several factors:
The equipment location must be chosen so that it cannot be hit by jets of steam, water or other liquids
The aquarium may only be installed in homes and / or offices
The temperature must not be lower than 15 ° C or higher than 35 ° C, also to ensure suitable conditions for the
animals and for the host plants.
The aquarium should be positioned as far as possible from sources of sunlight and other heat sources (stoves,
heaters, etc.), in order to prevent overheating and the formation of algae. It is advisable to avoid places where
any water leaks could cause damage. The use of Amtra cabinet ensures the tank an ideal base.
DANGER: DISCONNECT THE EQUIPMENT BEFORE PERFORMING ANY CLEANING OR MAINTENANCE
OPERATION.
Precautions to follow to avoid the electrocution. This is an aquarium that it contains water, do not try to repair
it yourself.
1- If electrical parts fall in water, do not try to keep them out. Unplug immediately the elecrical device from the
socket and then pull the electrical part out the water.
2- After have accurately installed all the parts of the aquarium, be sure that the electrical parts are not humid
before connecting the thorn to the socket.
3- Do not start the aquarium if you have found working problems. Contact immediatly your retailer or a
technician.
4- If the cable is damaged do not start the aquarium. Do not try to replace it yourself, call a tecnician or ask for
help to your retailer.
5- Avoid that the electrical socket will dirt or wet. An effective method is to make a drip loop:let the cable hang
under the electrical sockek, inthat way water drops cannot be guided towards the thorn.
6- If the thorn and the electrical socket will become wet, do not try to plug-out. Turn off the main electrical
circuit and removed the electricity, then plug them out.
7- Plug out the aquarium from the elecrical socket when it is not in working for long time. Plug out the aquarium
from the elecrical socket before any maintaining operation. Not to stretch the cable.
8- Do not use the aquarium for improper use.
9- The aquarium must work only when it is full of water. If it works for a long time without water, you should
check all the mechanical and structural parts to verify the presence of eventual damagings.
10- Be sure that the aquarium is insatallled correctly before turn it on.
11- If you connect an extends cord be sure that it is of the same electrical power of the aquarium.
12- To avoid to be hurt, avoid to touch the overheated parts of the aquarium while it is working.
13- Read carefully all the instructions.
14- Pay attention when children are near the aquarium.
15- The minimum distance between lamp and water must be not less than 15 mm.
16- If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the
manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
RECYCLING
This product is markerd with the appropriate symbol that identifies the relative separate collection of electrical
and alectronic equipment. This means that the product must be dumped according to the recycling laws
(European directive 2002/96/CE) to reduce ambiental impact. For more information you can contact your
local or regional administration. The wrong dumping of electronic products is potentially dangerous for nature
and for human health because of the presence of dangerous substances. Disposal not in accordance with the
directive is penalty sanctioned.
THE MANUFACTURER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY ARISING FROM
THE REUSE OF INDIVIDUAL PIECES OF THE EQUIPMENT IN DIFFERENT MOUNTING CONFIGURATIONS FROM THE
ORIGINAL ONES.
THE MANUFACTURER REFUSES ANY RECOGNITION, IMPLICIT OR EXPLICIT, OF SUITABILITY FOR SPECIFIC
PURPOSES OF THE DEVICE PARTS REUSED AFTER FINAL DECOMMISSIONING IN VIEW OF ITS DISPOSAL.
WARRANTY:
This product is guaranteed for a period of 24 months, from date of purchase, against defects in materials or
workmanship. The guarantee certificate must be completed in its entirety by the dealer and must accompany
the product in the event that it is returned for repair. The warranty consists in the replacement of defective parts.
This warranty does not apply in case of improper use, nor liable for damage caused by tampering or negligence
by the purchaser. For warranty service, return the device together with the purchase receipt or equivalent, with
a detailed description of the problem. Excluded from warranty are all parts subject to wear and tear.
• The manufacturing company assumes the commitment to replace at its discretion the malfunctioning or
incorrect manufacturing parts, only after careful quality control and detection of poor construction.
• Always charged to the buyer are the cost of transport and / or delivery in case of misuse of warranty terms
• During the warranty period, replaced products become property of the manufacturer.
• Of this guarantee can only benefit the original purchaser who has complied with the normal maintenance
instructions in the manual. Our liability on the guarantee expires when: the original owner sells the product
properties, or when changes were made to the same.
• The product that is part of the defective product must be delivered to the manufacturing company for
replacement; otherwise, the replaced part will be charged to the purchaser.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THE MODES OF INTERVENTION AND THE USE OF LIGHTING EQUIPMENT FOR
AQUARIUMS DESCRIBED IN THIS DOCUMENTATION (INSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL AND
ATTACHED MANUALS) ENTAILS THE DECAY OF THE WARRANTY TERMS.
