AMIBIOS Password Support

AMIBIOS Setup has an optional password feature. The system can
be configured so that all users must enter a password every time the
system boots or when Setup is executed.

Setting a Password

The password check option is enabled in ADVANCED CMOS
SETUP (see page 53) by choosing either Always or Setup. The
password is stored in CMOS RAM.

The following prompt appears when the system boots.

Enter CURRENT Password:

Enter a 1 – 6 character password. Make sure you write it down. If
you forget it, you must drain CMOS RAM and totally reconfigure
the system.

If You Do Not Want to Use a Password

Just press <Enter> when the password prompt appears
