Typematic Rate
Typematic Rate Delay
Typematic Programming enables or disables the following two
options. Typematic Rate Delay
(250, 500, 750 or 1,000
milliseconds)
and Typematic Rate
(6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 24, or 30
characters per second)
control the speed at which a keystroke is
repeated. A character is displayed when a key is pressed and held
down. After a period of time (the Typematic Rate Delay), it repeats
at the Typematic Rate.
Above 1 MB Memory Test
When enabled, the POST memory routines run on memory above 1
MB. If disabled,
only the
first 1 MB is tested. The settings
are Enabled or Disabled.
Hard Disk Type 47 RAM Area
You can specify a user-definable hard disk type for drive C: and/or
D:. The drive parameters are entered in STANDARD CMOS
SETUP (see page 47). This option specifies the type 47 data storage
area:
0:300h
in low system RAM or in the
top 1 KB
of applications
memory, starting at address 639K or 511K, depending on how much
base memory is in the system. Type 47 data is stored in shadow
RAM if shadowing is enabled. The following illustrates type 47 data
storage.
