Installing SIMMs
Both Bank 0 and Bank 1 have four SIMM sockets. These sockets can be
filled with 1 MB x 9, 4 MB x 9, or 16 MB x 9 SIMMs. Use only one type of
module to fill each bank. Place the motherboard on an anti-static mat.
With the component side of the SIMM facing you, firmly push the card
into the socket at a 45 degree angle, then push it up to a vertical
position. When properly inserted, the SIMM clicks into place as the
latching pins engage. See the following figure.
Memory Configuration
The Baby EISA motherboard checks the memory banks and automatically
configures the amount of memory installed in the SIMM sockets. There are
no user definable jumper or switch settings for configuring memory. The
following table shows the possible system memory configurations.
