Generated Alarms
At any time, the operator can flag specific activity as an alarm
event, even if the activity does not trigger a filter or trip an alarm.

When the operator generates an alarm:
1.
The unit energizes the alarm output associated with the
camera.
2.
The unit records images from the alarm camera at the alarm
record rate and quality setting (see

The unit adds the alarm camera to the alarm group and
records its images more often than nonalarm cameras (see
).
4.
The unit lights the
Alarms
indicator as soon as the alarm is
cleared.
5.
The unit flags the video segment in the image database with
the name
Gen. Alarm
.

If the
Pre-Alarm Duration
option is selected, the unit saves
the pre-alarm images to the image database (see

Alarm Message Display

live display monitor to the 4x4 format and overrides the
display settings for the duration of the alarm (see
