8.2.1 EK-S : Spread rate check
A spread rate check is recommended with any change of spread-
ing material or when it changed its condition.
If the operational speed of the towing vehicle is known exactly a sta-
tionary spread rate is possible.
1. How to determine the actual speed of operation
1.1 Carefully measure a distance of 100 m. Mark the beginning
and end of the test distance.
1.2 Drive test distance from beginning to end mark with the in-
tended, constant operational speed. Determine the required
time with the aid of a stopwatch.
e.g. 100m in 120 sec.

2. How to determine the necessary required spread rate per
minute [g/min] for the desired spread rate:
