5.3.1
Connecting brakes and supply lines
WARNING
Risk of contusions, cuts, dragging, catching or being knocked
down through a malfunctioning brake system.
When connecting brake and supply lines, ensure that:
connecting head seals are clean
sealing rings of the hose connectors form a proper seal
Replace damaged seals immediately.
Drain the air reservoir before daily before use.
Only transport the conntected implement when the pressure
gauge on the tractor shows 72.5 psi [5.0 bar].
WARNING
Risk of contusions, cuts, dragging, catching or being knocked
down from rolling implement with released operating brake!
Always connect the brake line hose connector (yellow) first, followed
by the supply line hose connector (red).
The operating brake of the implement releases immediately out of the
brake position if the red hose connector has been connected.
1. Open the tractor connector head caps.
2. Remove brake line connector head (yellow) from the idle con-
nector.
3. Check connecting head seals for damage and cleanness.
4. Clean dirty seals, replace damaged seals.
5. Fasten the brake line connector head (yellow) as directed to the
tractor connector with the yellow marking.
6. Remove the supply line connector head (red) from the idle con-
nector.
7. Check connector head seals for damage and cleanness.
8. Clean dirty seals, replace damaged seals.
9. Fasten the supply line connector head (red) to the tractor con-
nector with the red marking, as instructed.
On connecting the supply line (red), the supply pressure coming
from the tractor automatically pushes out the activating button
for the release valve on the trailer brake valve.
10. Remove wheel chocks.
