2.16.5 Brake
system
Only specialist workshops or recognized brake service shops
may carry out adjustment and repair work on the brake system.
Check the brake system regularly.
If there are any faults in the brake system, stop the tractor im-
mediately. Have the malfunctions corrected immediately.
Before performing any work on the braking system, park the
implement safely and secure the implement against unintentional
lowering or rolling away (wheel chocks).
Be extremely careful when carrying out any welding, torch cut-
ting or drilling work in the area of the brake lines.
After carrying out any adjusting and repair work on the brake
system, always carry out a brake test.
Air braking system
Before connecting the implement, clean any dirt from the sealing
rings on the hose connectors of the supply and brake lines.
Only transport the the connected implement when the pressure
gauge on the tractor shows 72.5 psi [5.0 bar].
Drain the air tank every day.
Before moving the tractor without the implement, be sure to lock
the hose connectors on the tractor.
Hang the hose connectors of the implement supply and brake
lines in the appropriate idle connectors.
When filling up or replacing the brake fluid, use the required
fluid. When replacing the brake fluid, comply with the appropriate
regulations.
Do not make any changes to the specified settings on the brake
valves!
Replace the air tank if the:
air tank can be moved in the tensioning belts mounting
brackets
air tank is damaged
identification plate on the air tank is rusty, loose or missing.
Hydraulic braking system
When filling up or replacing the brake fluid, use the required
hydraulic fluids. When replacing the hydraulic fluids, comply with
the appropriate regulations.
