2.7 Safety Features
2.7.1 Depth Sensor

Risk of Injury
Damage to or contamination of the depth sensor leads to a failure of the safety
shutdown of the motor at the set maximum immersion depth. This can result in
severe or fatal injuries.
► Avoid damaging the depth sensor, e.g. by inserting pointed objects.
► Always ensure that no dirt, sand or cleaning or polishing agents
penetrate through the water inlet opening on the depth sensor.
► Rinse the water inlet opening of the depth sensor thoroughly with fresh
water after each use of the Aquajet to avoid salt deposits.
► Never use a cleaning device with high jet pressure or steam jet for
cleaning.
Depth Sensor
The Aquajet is equipped with a depth sensor. This is located on the back of the device.
The depth sensor is factory set to a maximum diving depth of 2 m.
When the set maximum diving depth is reached, the motor is automatically switched off. The
motor can only be switched on again when the Aquajet is above the set maximum diving depth.
2.7.2 Fail Safe
Fail-safety is guaranteed by the redundant motor concept. If one motor should fail, the power of
the second motor is sufficient to safely return to the starting position.
