To set RF channels:

This option allows you to adjust RF channels on the M812 so that you
can eliminate interference from other wireless devices or other M812s
nearby that use the same channel. The channels available are:

AUTO

This is a factory preset where the M812
automatically seeks a channel that does not
have interference.

CH1, CH2, CH3

One of these channels may be manually selected
to eliminate interference.

1. Hold down the INPUT key on the side panel of the wireless speaker

for three seconds. MENU appears in the display.

2. Press the /– key to scroll to RF CHAN.

. Press INPUT to select RF CHAN.

4. Press the /– key to scroll through the possible values –

CH1, CH2, CH or AUTO.

5. Press INPUT to select one of the three channels or select AUTO.

Note:

When you select a channel on the speaker, you have to select

the same channel on the transmitter to keep sync. To do this:

  •  Press and hold the STANDBY key on the base transmitter for three

seconds. The standby LED (on the left) will blink. The SYNC1 and
SYNC2 LEDs indicate the current channel:

  • LED1 – CH1. (LED 2 is off)
  • LED2 – CH2. (LED1 is off)
  • LED1 and LED2 – CH. (Both LED 1 and LED2 are on)
  • No LEDs – AUTO.

6. Press the STANDBY key to change the RF channel.

7. Press and hold STANDBY for  seconds to save your changes.

To program another IR remote to work with the M812:

This function allows you to program a remote that might come with
another product such as a CD player. This allows you to control a CD
player or other AUX device from another room.

Note:

This programming can be performed successfully on most, but

not all, IR remotes.

1. Hold down the INPUT key on the side panel of the wireless speaker

for three seconds. MENU appears in the display.

2. Press the /– key to scroll to IR PROG.

. Press INPUT to select IR PROG.

4. Press the /– key to scroll through the remote keys that

can be programmed –

 and

.

5. Press INPUT to select one of the keys. The display will show START.

6. Point the auxiliary remote at the M812 and press the key you want

to record.

7. The display shows DONE when the operation is complete and

resumes the previous operation.

To set DEFAULT

This option allows you to reset options as necessary. LOCAL default
sets VOLUME, BASS and TREBLE to the factory defaults.

FACTORY restores all options to the factory settings. IR programming
and FM presets are also erased. The RF channel is set to AUTO and the
FM default goes to US.

1. Hold down the INPUT key on the side panel of the wireless speaker

for three seconds. MENU appears in the display.

2. Press the /– key to scroll to DEFAULT.

. Press INPUT to select DEFAULT.

4. Press the /– key to scroll through the defaults – FACTORY

or LOCAL. Local default resets Volume, Bass and Treble settings, but
does not affect settings such as FM Mode, recorded IR commands or
FM presets. Factory default resets all settings as shown below.

5. Press INPUT to select one of the options.

Factory Defaults:

1. RF Channel = 0
2. Bass = 0
. Treble = 0
4. FM Mode = US
5. Recorded IR commands are deleted
6. FM Presets = 87.5
7. Input = iPod
8. Volume = 60

Recognizing Wireless Signals

The M812 speaker and transmitter base are manufactured to
automatically recognize each other wirelessly during operation through
a process called “RF mating.” However, there are occasions when signal
jamming can interfere with this process; for example, when a second
M812 system is operating within a 100 foot range. If this occurs, try
changing the RF channel.
