Notes:
• Do not use a new battery and old battery together or different kinds
of batteries.
• To avoid corrosion, remove the batteries if the remote control is not
to be used for a long time.
• Remove dead batteries immediately to avoid damage from
corrosion. If the remote control doesn’t operate smoothly, replace
both the batteries at the same time.
• The life of the batteries supplied is about six months, but this will
vary depending on usage.
• Observe local regulations regarding disposal of dead batteries.
Remote Operation
Point the remote controller toward the sensor located on the front of
the wireless speaker.
Notes:
• Place the unit away from strong light such as direct sunlight or
inverted fluorescent light, which can prevent proper operation of the
remote control.
• Using another remote control of the same type in the same room or
using the unit near equipment which uses infrared rays may cause
operational interference.
• Do not put any object such as a book on the remote control. The
keys of the remote control may be pressed by mistake and drain
the batteries.
• If there is any obstacle between the remote control and the
remote control sensor located on the speaker, the remote control
will not operate.
Advanced Operation
Connecting Additional Speakers
Up to seven additional M812 speakers can be added to the basic M812
to form a system. That is, using one transmitter base it is possible
to transmit audio to eight wireless speakers. The additional wireless
speakers can be set to standard stereo mode or as individual left and
right speakers.
An example of when it would be useful to select left or right operation
would be when more power is required. That is, when a single speaker
is used in left or right mode the speaker would put out 100 watts per
channel, as opposed to 50 watts per channel in the stereo mode.
It is possible to combine wireless speaker modes in a system. That
is, you can use two wireless speakers in the stereo mode and two
additional speakers, one set to left and one set to right, to provide
three separate listening environments.
NOTE:
When more than three wireless M812 speakers are used as part of
a system connected to one transmitter base, only the two wireless
speakers that are synchronized are capable of global controls. Global
control refers to commands such as Master Volume, Track Forward/
Rewind and FM Tune +/–. The third and subsequent speakers allow only
local controls such as Local Volume, Bass, Treble, etc. Additionally, if a
single speaker loses synchronization in a multiple speaker system it will
not be able to automatically resynchronize. To regain synchronization
between the transmitter base and the speaker in a multiple speaker
system, it is necessary to hold the STANDBY key on the transmitter
base for six seconds.
When powering up a multiple speaker system, turn on the power of
all speaker units first and then turn on the power to the transmitter
base. If this procedure is not followed, you will need to hold the
STANDBY key on the transmitter base for six seconds to synchronize
all speaker units.
