8. Carefully tuck all W IRES and W IRE NUTS into the OUTLET BOX. Place the
WALL PLATE back onto the FIXTURE MOUNTING SCREW S, and secure it
into place using the LOCK NUTS. (Fig. 3)

Wrap each wire connection with 2” of electrical tape.

After installing the fixture, caulk the upper 2/3s of the W ALL PLATE to the
mounting surface. Leave the bottom 1/3 un-caulked to allow for drainage of
any water that might leak into the enclosure.
The manufacturer
recommends a non-drying exterior caulking material. A good example is a
clear silicone rubber sealant for exterior use.
10. RESTORE POW ER AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER. Turn on the wall switch.
MOUNTING SCREW S feed through the holes on the W ALL PLATE. Adjust
the FIXTURE MOUNTING SCREW S until they protrude out from the WALL
PLATE
¼”.
Remove the WALL PLATE and secure the position of the
FIXTURE MOUNTING SCREW S by tightening the HEX NUTS against the
MOUNTING BRACKET. (Fig. 3)
