Displaying a Folder/File Menu List
If a fi le from the folder menu list is selected:

The folder list in a disc is displayed.

Playback of the selected fi le starts.
• If a folder name or fi le name exceeds the display range, the last
character that appears in the display range is displayed as “~”
(tilda accent).
• MP3
folder/fi le list is also displayed.
Selecting Folders

to select the folder.
Pausing

During playback, press

to resume playback.
• No sound is played during the still mode.
• The image or sound may stop temporarily when playback starts
from the pause mode, This is not a malfunction.
• When
on Front Passenger Control is pressed, blue screen
appears temporarily.
Fast-forwarding/Fast-reversing

During playback, press and hold
(fast-reverse)
or
(fast-forward).
When pressed for more than 1 second, the disc is
forwarded/reversed at double speed.
When held in 5 more seconds, the disc is forwarded/
reversed at 8 times the normal speed.
When held for 10 more seconds, the disc is forwarded/
reversed at 32 times the normal speed

to return to normal playback.
• No sound appears during fast-forward/fast-reverse.
Finding the Beginning of Chapters or
Tracks-(Files)
During playback, press

The chapter/track/fi le switches each time the button is pressed,
and playback of the selected chapter/track starts.
: Press this to start playback from the beginning of
the following chapter or track.
: Press this to start playback from the beginning of
the current chapter or track.
Press
repeatedly to start playback from the
beginning of a previous chapter or track.
• Some DVDs do not have chapters.
• MP3 playback information (folder no., fi le no., tag information,
ect.) will be displayed on the monitor during playback.
• For MP3 discs, some time may be required until playback starts.
• Some discs will not play back depending on the writing or MP3
conversion software used for the disc. In that case, try other
software.
• The unit can play discs containing both audio data and MP3 data.
• The playback time may not be correctly displayed when a VBR
(Variable Bit Rate) recorded fi le is played back.
• JPEG are the same as MP3 controllable from the unit.
