Jumbo Mtu
The Jumbo Mtu (Maximum transmission unit) feature allows you to specify
the maximum size of Ethernet frames that the adapter port supports. The
network performance usually improves when the larger frame size is
specified; however, the network must be capable of supporting the
oversized Ethernet frames.
To change the Jumbo Mtu setting, do the following:
1. Access the Advanced Properties.
See “Accessing Advanced Properties” on page 71.
2. Select Jumbo Mtu in the Property box.
The Jumbo Mtu page is displayed as shown in Figure 36.

3. Specify the size of the frame in the Value box.
The range of the value is from 1,500 to 9,000. The default value is
1,500.
4. Click
OK
