INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
All plumbing work must be carried out by a qualified person and in accordance with the
National Plumbing Standard AS/NZS 3500.4 and local authority requirements.
All gas work must be carried out by a qualified person and in accordance with the Australian
and New Zealand Gas Installations Standard AS/NZS 5601 and local authority requirements.

IMPORTANT NOTE.
IT IS THE INSTALLERS RESPONSIBILITY
TO ENSURE THAT THE DELIVERY
TEMPERATURES AT ALL OUTLETS COMPLY
WITH PLUMBING REGULATIONS.
GAS SUPPLY
Fit special union fitting (supplied)
at heater. Fitting has a gas pressure
test nipple. Fit an isolating valve.
RATING LABEL
PLV
FULL FLOW gate valve or ball valve.
COLD WATER INLET
Fit a union connection at heater
and insulate pipework if location
is subject to freezing.
PRESSURE
LIMITING VALVE
(if required)
PLV must not have
non return valve
characteristics or
prevent reverse flow.
HOT OUTLET
This unit is factory set at 60ºC.
For connection to bathrooms, ensuites, or public
ablution areas a temperature limiting device must
be be installed in accordance with AS/NZS 3500.4
and any local regulations which require 50ºC
temperature limit to minimise scalding risk.
In some installations delivery temperatures
at outlets are required to be lower than 50ºC.
eg. AS/NZS 3500.4 requires an outlet temperature
not exceeding 45ºC for heaters installed in
early childhood development centre, school,
nursing home or a facility for young, aged sick
or disabled people.
POWER CORD
Only plug into a weatherproof and
earthed outlet. Outlet must be
installed by a qualified tradesperson.
HOT WATER OUTLET
Fit a union connection
at heater and insulate
all hot water pipes.
