Connecting the Device

Back panel of housing
Connect the reader electronics to the PoE terminal board using the supplied ribbon cable as shown.
4.4 Power supply
Power can be supplied via:
PoE device IEE 802.3 of power class 3 (up to 13 W). and RJ-45 cable
18 to 24 VAC/ VDC power supply unit. The RJ45 cable is only required for data transfer.
To comply with the EMC limits, the IF-57xx master terminal needs to be grounded.
PoE
The functional grounding is established via the PoE device and the RJ45 cable.
Check whether the PoE device features functional grounding. Ground PoE devices without functional
grounding via existing soldering lugs or screw terminals.
