2.7 Bringing into service
Select the operation key: Use a suitable operating key according to function and
covering height. Install the operation key according to the manufacturer's
specification.

NOTICE
The FRIALEN installation set DBS
(EBS) is self supported in any exten­
ded position. It is optimally matched
to the DAV and has a sleeve tube bell
with integrated locking function (see
Fig. 19). With this locking function,
which connects the installation set
firmly to the DAV, unintentional
release is prevented.
A foam rubber ring in the sleeve tube
bell prevents dirt from penetrating
into the installation set.
Connect the 14 mm square of the pressure tapping valve to the installation set
DBS (EBS) and protect with a cotter pin against coming loose.
Adjust the required covering height at the extendable activation rods. The
telescopic rods can be adjusted continuously and is fixed safely at its extension
position.
NOTICE
With the FRIALEN installation set DBS (EBS) a commissioning of pre­installed
main pipes by tapping the DAV directly from the surface box is possible.
The metallic stops for the positions “open” and “closed” of the valve result in a
clearly noticeably increase in the activation force.
Because sealing in the closed state is made through a radially pressed O-ring,
an excessive closing is not required.
