2.1 Preliminary works
2.1.1 Measure and mark fusion zone, remove oxid layer

First remove all contaminants on the
pipe surfaces to be fused (see Fig 1).
Use always a clean and grease-free
cleaning paper.

We recommend using marking (con-
trol) lines that confirm a consistent
removal of material over the whole
surface (see Fig 2).

Directly before installation, you must
use a scraper tool (see Fig 3) to
remove
completely the oxide layer at
the fusion zone.
