SLA
The SLA battery is not considered a Hazardous Material (Dangerous Goods) and there is no
restriction on shipping the SLA batteries.
DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR COMPONENTS
Depending on your order, your PowerPod™ System will be delivered in a specific configuration. The configuration may
employ the following major components:
• Power Supply
• Remote User Interface (RUI)
• Power (outlet) strip
• Power Cord
Power Supply
• This Power Supply is a fully automatic power supply charger system with an AC output voltage of 120 Volts, 60 Hz
• When plugged into an AC outlet, it supplies power to the equipment while also charging the battery.
• When unplugged from the outlet, the power supply switches automatically to supply the equipment from the internal
battery.
• The power supply is designed for continuous operation and service is not interrupted by plugging in or unplugging
the power supply.
Remote User Interface (RUI)
• To monitor the Mode status and charge level of the power supply battery. See Figure.
• The RUI is located at the back center of cart and gives the user the current battery status at eye level.
• The RUI is connected to the power supply by a cable from the power supply.
Power (outlet) strip
• Electrical equipment on the cart (computer, monitor, etc.) is powered by plugging them into the power strip located
on the rear of the cart.
NOTE: Total device power requirements must not exceed 150 W.
Outlet Covers are
provided with North American units and are to be installed in unused outlets.
Power Cord
• The Power Cord is selected on the basis of Domestic or International Application. For International, the AC In Power
Cord is selected by Configurator based on the Country Specified

Connect Power Supply
The unit is shipped with the battery cable unplugged from the power supply. The cable must be plugged in and the
battery charge level checked before using the unit.
1. Ensure unit is unplugged from wall outlet.
(If the unit is ON, turn OFF by pushing and holding the “MODE” button for 2 seconds until the display goes blank.)
