5.6  SET ETHERNET – with optional module

The Ethernet port can be set for Dynamic or Static IP address as outlined in
section 7.2.  Communication with this port is done with the help of one of 
the protocols (SPID ROT1, SPID ROT2, SPID-MD-01 or YAESU).  

For example, the MD-01/02 controller receives the IP address from a DHCP 
server (e.g. 192.168.0.10).  Connect to it, using a program like 
HyperTerminal by selecting the type of connection TCP / IP (Winsock), set 
host address 192.168.0.10 and port number to 23.  Try using Yaesu protocol 
for testing because it is a text based protocol.

5.6.1 STATE

Read only.  Possible values: ON or OFF.
