3.3 SETUP MD-01/02 software 

To find out what version of firmware is in the MD-01/02 controller, press the [F2] 
and [F] buttons on the front of the MD-01/02 controller at the same time.  The 
firmware version and date will be seen on the MD-01/02 display.

3.3.1 Using USB Communications:

#1 Install the FTDI USB drivers on the PC (USB D Driver)  Use the Driver appropriate
for your operating system.  Consult FTDI Website http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/
VCP.htm

This USB driver will install a USB Serial Port (COM x). 

You can check this in Windows/configuration/device management and search for COM 
ports. 

#2 Connect the MD-01/02 through USB D port to PC with a USB Cable (Port: USB D). 

#3 Start program spidMD01dde.exe (this name may change).

#4 Click on the “show” button at the bottom middle then click on the Options Tab.
