12 Alencon Communication Environment (ACE)

12.1 System Overview  

Alencon’s Communications Environment, the ACE, is an Internet of Things (IoT) hardware and 
software  solution  for  controlling  and  monitoring  your  alternative  energy  assets  utilizing 
Alencon’s  PODD  device.  The  PODD  can  be  used  with  other  Alencon  products  including  the 
SPOT, GARD and BOSS. The PODD acts as a gateway to integrate Alencon’s power electronics 
with your plant level control systems or as a standalone controller and troubleshooting device.
