7750 SR OS Router Configuration Guide

By default, generation of ICMP destination unreachables messages is enabled at a maximum rate of
100 per 10 second time interval.

The

form of the command disables the generation of ICMP destination unreachables on the router

interface.

Default

unreachables 100 10 — Maximum of 100 unreachable messages in 10 seconds.

Parameters

number —

The maximum number of ICMP unreachable messages to send, expressed as a decimal

integer. The

seconds

parameter must also be specified.

Values

10 — 1000

seconds —

The time frame, in seconds, used to limit the

number

of ICMP unreachable messages that

can be issued, expressed as a decimal integer.
