DWDM ports test

Before starting the DWDM commissioning, be sure that the optical fibers are properly 
cleaned.

All the single spans attenuation connecting the various link nodes, including the 
acceptable margin, are given in the Design Project document (released by a Project 
Manager) and in the Link Description Table (LDT). 

The procedure is divided in two parts: 

•

Local test

•

Link test

The node local test must be performed first. The link tests can be carried out after local 
tests on all nodes.
