Wash Down

Supplies 12-volt electrical current directly to the raw water

pump pressure switch located on the pump that supplies

seawater to the washdown hose connector in the cockpit and to

the marine toilet. The pressure switch automatically controls

the water pump when the system is activated and properly

primed. It is protected by a fuse in the panel behind the helm

and an automatically resetting breaker on the pump motor.

Underwater Lights

Activates the underwater lights located in the transom, below

the engine bracket.

Fishbox Macerator

This switch activates the macerator pump that pumps out the

cockpit fishboxes. It is an ON/OFF switch that must be turned

off as soon as the pumping is complete to prevent damage to

pump. It is protected by a fuse in the panel behind the helm

and an automatically resetting breaker on the pump motor.

Wipers

Activates the windshield wiper. The wiper circuit is protected

by a fuse in the panel behind the helm.

Bilge Pump Aft

Activates the stern bilge pump which is installed in the rear

center of the bilge. The pump moves water out through the

thru-hull fitting in the hull. To start the pump manually,

put the switch in the “ON” position. The aft manual bilge

pump circuit is protected by a circuit breaker in the cabin DC

panel.

Bilge Pump Fwd

Activates the forward bilge pump which is installed in the

bilge below the cabin floor. The pump moves water out

through the thru-hull fitting in the hull. To start the pump

manually, place the switch in the “ON” position. The forward

manual bilge pump circuit is protected by a circuit breaker in

the cabin DC panel.

Note: The bilge pumps will start automatically when

there is sufficient water in the bilge to activate the

float switch near each pump. The float switches

are protected by fuses located in the bilge near

the batteries and are always supplied current

when the batteries are connected.

Battery Parallel

Activates the circuit that connects both engine starting batteries

in parallel for extra battery power while starting the engines.

When the switch is pressed, a relay is engaged that connects

both engine starting batteries, when the switch is released, the

relay is deactivated and the batteries are isolated. The circuit

is protected by fuses located near each battery bank.

Horn

A momentary switch that activates the boat horn. The circuit

is protected by a fuse in the panel behind the helm.

Additional Accessory Switch Panels

Additional switch panels are located in various locations in the

cockpit or cabin. The following is a description of additional

panels that may be on your Albemarle and the accessories

they control:

Trim Tab Switch Panel

Located in helm pod near the steering wheel and in the

optional tower helm. This switch controls the trim tab planes

located on the transom of the boat. Please refer to Chapter

2 for detailed information on the operation of the trim tab

controls. The circuit is protected by a fuse in the panel behind

the helm.

Engine Trim and Tilt Switches

The engine trim and tilt switches are built into the engine

binnacle control handles. They control the trimming and

tilting of the engines. The circuits are protected by a fuse

or circuit breaker located on each engine. Please refer to

the Helm Control Systems chapter and the engine owner’s

manual for information regarding the proper use of the tilt

and trim switches.

Stereo Control Pad

Located on the gauge panel. Controls the stereo that is

mounted in the cabin. Refer to the stereo owner’s manual for

details on operating the stereo control pad. The stereo circuit

is protected by a circuit breaker in the cabin DC panel.

12-Volt Receptacle

Located in the helm gauge panel. Supplies electrical current

for portable 12-volt equipment.

Bilge Fuse Panels

Inline fuse panels are located in the bilge compartments near

each battery bank. The blade mounted, ATC fuses provide

protection for continuos power circuits and some 12 volt

accessories. The following is a description of the accessories

protected by these fuses.

Starboard Bilge Compartment Fuses

Aft Bilge Pump

Provides protection and continuous power to the automatic

float switch for the aft bilge pump. This circuit is always

supplied current when the batteries are connected. A circuit

breaker in the cabin DC panel provides circuit protection for

the manual switch.
