When your onboard BIOS has recovered, you can choose remove or not remove the ABS
Card from the mainboard.
[ Remove the ABS Card]
Remove the ABS Card from the mainboard while the system is powered off, and remember
to set the jumper caps which are on the mainboard BIOSCN1 header with the location of
Defaults; otherwise, your system may not be powered on.
[Not remove the ABS Card]
Remember to set the jumper caps which are on the mainboard BIOSCN1 header with the
location of “
Onboard BIOS
” (Refer the Figure2), to reduce the opportunity of causing
damages on Rescue BIOS of the ABS Card.
[Recommendation]
If both of your onboard BIOS and rescue BIOS unfortunately have damaged, the ABS Card
will lose the function of recovering the BIOS. Hence, it is recommended that to recover your
onboard BIOS by the ABS Card first, and then use the ABS Card as emergency happened.
Attention
The Defaults location for the mainboard BIOSCN1 header is to set
jumper caps onto the pin-1&2 and pin-3&4 of the header.
Attention
DO NOT remove the jumper caps on the ABS_JP1 header of the ABS
Card; otherwise, your system may not be powered on or cause damages
on your ABS Card.
