6. PUMP INSTALLATION
6.1 Positioning
In order to avoid the noise and damage due to the cavitation, the minimum inlet
pressure values are given on the table below.
The figures given below are to be taken into consideration during the installa -
tion.
CAUTION! Before any installation, the pipework should be checked for
contamination and flushed if there is any.
Mechanical and electrical installation must be carried out by
qualified personnel and in accordance with the instructions on
this manual and also with applicable regulations.
The pump should be installed into the pipework without any
strain or bearing the weight of the pipework.
5.3 Parallel/Back-up Operation
When installing more than one pump for back-up or parallel operation, a check
valve must be connected for each pump.
