2.1 Items to be secured to the roof of the container
The OMNI-A0092 system has been designed to be roof-mounted on a container, shelter,
vehicle or the like. For the purposes of this document, installation on a container has been
illustrated, but the same principles apply to all installation types.
The items shown in Figure 3 are roof-mounted. These items must be bolted firmly to the roof
of the container.
The main antenna assembly must be bolted to the roof of the container in 40 places.
The winch is used to raise the antenna mast to the vertical position and is a heavily loaded
item (up to 500kg of pulling load can be expected). The high pulling load on the winch must
be catered for in the design of the attachment of the winch to the roof of the container.
Anchors for attaching ropes (three places) must be bolted to the roof of the container or
mounting surface. These anchor points form part of the guy rope restraining system for the
mast when it is upright.
